The Fong Family Story

The Fong family has deep roots in the Pukekohe growing community. It all began with William Fong, who migrated from Guangzhou, China, to New Zealand and started growing vegetables in 1964. Working alongside other Chinese migrants, William helped cultivate the land and build a foundation for what would become a thriving local industry.

In the early years, the group worked together on shared plots, learning the soil, seasons, and challenges of the region. A few years later, each ventured out to establish their own farms continuing the proud tradition of hard work, community spirit, and dedication to fresh, quality produce.

Today, the Fong family continues that legacy through Dennis and his family, maintaining the same values of commitment and care that William began over half a century ago.
